I have started on my Polaroid zine, I've had lots of brilliant submissions and have begun typing up the descriptions of each photo using my trusty typewriter! Thanks to anyone who's emailed me their fave polaroids! I shall update you on the zine's progress again soon!

Looking into the Past
I recently stumbled upon this group on flickr [via nothing elegant], called Looking Into the Past, in which people take old photos and overlap them with an image from the present day. I fancy trying this myself with some old photos from my parent's albums. One to do when I finish current projects I have on the go!

Before I die I want to...
A really interesting and moving project, [found on tiffany's brilliant blog] involves taking polaroids of people around the world and asking them "what do you want to do before you die?" From the website:The Before I die I want to... project was inspired by a combination of factors: (1) the “death” of the Polaroid, (2) a psychologist’s tool called safety contracts, and (3) a passion to get people to think about (and act upon) what is really important in their lives through this simple, straight-forward question.Interesting to compare people from India's answers with those from the US. See more here.

n.e.e.t. layouts

I love flicking through neet magazine, and this Spring they have more inspiring pages, including this "paper garden" themed set that I love. I am still hunting for women's magazines that are as good, but until then I'll make do with digital ones like this! It also includes a "show and tell" section where different bloggers talk about their favourite vintage items, and some sweet fashion photos of Diane of darling vintage.

New Comic: Radiator Days

I just bought another comic book by Lucy Knisley, author of French Milk. It's a collection of comic strips made while she was at college, containing musings on life, art, sex, and err.. giant squids. It's good so far and I'm enjoying reading comics written from a female perspective too as the comics world is a bit male dominated!

Wanted: Polaroids!

Calling all Polaroid lovers out there! I am planning to make a zine devoted to my love of instant photos and would like to invite anyone who has taken polaroids in the past to send me a scan of their favourite one, with a few words about where it was taken/any memories it evokes. If you'd like to be included just drop me an email or reply below! Oh and feel free to pass this message on to others!
Cheers x

Goodbye Galaxy!

Me & the boyfriend recorded a song a few weeks ago on the theme of old computer games we enjoyed as kids (hence the tetris sample!) If you'd like to have a listen it's here! (But it's the first time I've had a go at singing so please don't laugh!)
